Will is a member of the International Geothermal Association and leads the Deep Well & Co Team, bringing 30 years of personal experience in the Tourism and Leisure sector, spanning developments and large-scale refurbishment projects for Hot Springs and Spas, Hotels, Golf Resorts and Health Clubs. With a career path strong on client-side development, he offers an invaluable perspective on serving the needs of both clients and tenants.
In 2021, Will took on the challenge of developing a major Wellness Centre for the BlueFit Group, including hot spring bathing, on the Brighton Golf Course in Melbourne, Victoria. After navigating a series of complex challenges with the local community, Brighton Golf Club and Bayside Council, the project recently received a Planning Permit and a long-term lease, allowing development to proceed and marking a significant milestone for investors.
Will was appointed client-side project manager for this globally recognised, award-winning development. Work began with a $90 million master plan in 2015 and encompassed all stages, including design, cost forecasting, planning, construction, and the opening of new facilities. The project included new bathing experiences, a wellness centre, upgraded change rooms, a café, a sauna, an ice cave, glamping, condos and eco-lodge accommodation, expanded car parking, and extensive supporting infrastructure, such as deep-bore reinjection and advanced filtration systems.
